About Malta

Malta and the islands of Gozo and Comino lie right at the heart of the Mediterranean, between Sicily and North Africa. Malta itself has long been a cosmopolitan centre for visitors, from early invaders to today’s tourists, all of whom have been captivated by its distinct charms and unique location.

Rich in history, Malta combines the attractions of modern resorts and sandy beaches with rocky coastlines and landscapes that seem almost timeless.

Today, Malta is home to eclectic Mediterranean cuisine, upmarket marinas, exuberant festivals (or festas) and a vibrant café culture. The beach resorts, water sports and nightlife are there for those who enjoy activity, but the islands can be as tranquil and laid-back as anywhere in Europe, particularly on Gozo and Comino.
