The Maltese Islands offer walkers some of the most stunning views in the Mediterranean, ranging from dramatic cliffs being hit by waves, countryside valleys and scrubland, to coastal watchtowers.

Malta offers a pleasant blend of sightseeing and easy to lightly-moderate walks. Though the Island is very small, there are some very attractive walking opportunities where history is constantly present.

This gives walkers the opportunity to go on some contrasting walks including walks to historic sites with panoramic views of the coast of Malta and walks through the green and beautiful farmland, hills and valleys of Gozo.

As the sun sets and turns stone pink, it is wonderful to take a closer look at the islands towns and villages. Walk around the bastions in Valletta or stroll through the streets down to the harbour and be sure to see some of the best sites present on the island.
